Limite e pertinência do complexo de Édipo em psicanálise

Resumo: A proposta do presente artigo é discutir e contextualizar o tema do complexo de Édipo no texto “Um fragmento de uma análise de histeria” (1905a). Pretende-se discutir o que denominamos limite e pertinência do complexo de Édipo nesse momento da obra freudiana, a partir do artigo de Phillipe Van Haute (2010), que sugere que a problemática edipiana possui um papel marginal no caso Dora. O objetivo deste artigo é contribuir para a discussão, percorrendo alguns temas abordados por Van Haute, importantes para esta investigação: a acepção da teoria da memória na psicanálise, a questão da organicidade no caso, a discussão acerca da bissexualidade e do perverso-polimorfi smo infantil. Pretende-se mostrar e reafi rmar a importância do complexo de Édipo na teoria e na condução e construção de casos clínicos, inclusive no caso Dora. Abstract: This article aims to discuss and put the issue of the Oedipus complex in Fragment of an Analysis of a Case of Hysteria (1905a) into perspective. We discuss what we call the relevance and limitations of the Oedipus complex at that point of Freud’s work by using an article by Philippe Van Haute (2011), who suggests that the Oedipus plays a marginal role in the Dora case. The purpose hereof is to make a contribution to the debate by analyzing some of the topics addressed by Van Haute that are important to this study: the meaning of the theory of memory in psychoanalysis; the debate of how organic the case really is; as well as the discussion on bisexuality and the perverse polymorphism in children. We will show and reaffi rm the importance of the Oedipus complex in theory and when following and building case studies, including the Dora case. Keywords: Oedipus complex; drive; hysteria; language.
