Resumo
The analysis of fourteen official language teaching curricula development from 1985 to 1994 indicates the occurence of four basic themes subsidiary to modern linguistic science: the concept of language itself, the notion of text, language diversity and the direction of teaching language through reading, writing and text analysis. In this paper, we intend to answers from Lingüístics. We conclude that discourse analysis offers support for the basic assumptions present in texts for language teaching.
