Abstract

This exploratory study aims at (1) discussing the use of computers by prospective teachers during their Foreign Language Teacher undergraduate course and (2) describing these future teachers’ representations about the use of computers in their pedagogical practice. With this in mind, a questionnaire is analyzed having as the theoretical framework studies about social inclusion and digital literacy. The results show that the specific educational program does not integrate the new technologies and their languages in the process of initial teacher education. As a result, future teachers do not seem to understand their role as agents in such a digital society.
