This article focus, from a historical point of view, the emphasis some Foreign Language Teaching Methods have assigned to pronunciation activities and investigates the way pronunciation activities are dealt with in Brazilian textbooks. Concern with pronunciation teaching is thought to reflect methodological perspectives. Results from recent speech production and perception research works were not considered to affect pronunciation teaching materials.Downloads
